Snow Days
Yep. Snowed in for the 3rd day in a row.I really dislike the cold weather. In fact as soon as I step out into it my favorite phrase is “whine and fuss!”
Sitting in my family room and going stir crazy it’s easy to focus on the whiner in me. So I’m choosing to look at the positives here they are:
- My kids got to enjoy an actual snow (pictures below). Something I grew up with in Iowa, and take for granted.
- A nice heated house. I’m so glad I wasn’t a pioneer. I’m pretty sure I would have been one of those people they end up leaving behind.
- Cable Internet. Event though I’ve been stuck in the house, progress has been made on our next Women of Acts party. Thank you internet.
- Cable TV. I like to watch TV and I’m not embarrassed to say it.
- Cellphones. Even though I couldn’t get together with my sister and her family last night for our Tuesday Night ritual, she still called during the funny parts of our show.
- Hubs is working from home. This is a nice change. He’s still “away” during the day but the commute time is non-existent so we get to spend that extra together.
Any ideas on other things I can add to my list? I’m all ears.

Snow Mom and her Snow Babies

Play time. The snow is so powdery it won't make snowballs. So we just made our own snow shower.

Another perk is that you get to keep your head warm in that adorable and fun hat ; )

That is true! I love that hat and my hot pink rain boots (that double as snow boots in the South)!
